Born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley here in Central California, I was first exposed to firearms at an age too early to remember. Firearms and firearm safety were something we were taught with the normalcy of tying your shoes or making your bed. A long gun may as well have been a table saw, since it was looked at as a common man’s tool, not an “evil gun”. However, this tool demanded the utmost respect, that of which was brow beaten into myself and my siblings very early on.

Generations of my family were raised from the ground up hunting for wild game as a source of food and sport in the Paso Robles coastal mountain range where our family homesteaded over a century ago. Deer, hog, quail and dove were my hunting staple growing up. However, now I mostly hunt dove, varmint and predators.

Growing up my family did not approve of handguns so naturally as a young adult I went out and bought a semi auto 9mm pistol as soon as I legally could. Since then I have fallen in love with the technical, physical and mental prowess required to master the short-barreled beast. I enjoy participating in USPSA pistol matches as well as rimfire Steel Challenge events when possible.

I also enjoy training and deploying on Search and Rescue missions with the Madera County Sheriff’s Department as a technical ropes team member. I am also a fixed wing aircraft pilot and hope to begin flying the department aircraft on SAR or reconnaissance missions.

Having over a decade of experience in action sports television and video production, I find great pleasure in blending visual creativity and my passion for firearms here at Hard Focus Firearms Training. I’ve been truly blessed with the opportunity to travel the world and work with amazing talent over my career as a television and web video producer and I thrive on having a creative outlet.

Over the course of my creative career I’ve had the fortunate association with amazing clients such as Monster Energy, Red Bull, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Vespa, Aprilia, Harley Davidson, Fox Racing, Shift Racing, Shoei Helmets, Fuel TV and many more.

Currently I enjoy shooting video on Fujifilm DSLR cameras, Fujinon Pro lenses, Sennheisser Audio, and a DJI brand drone.
