CCW Renewal

$80 per student

4 hours


This course will the requirements of the Fresno, Kings, Mariposa, Madera, Stanislaus, Merced County Sheriff's Department and Turlock Police Department for renewal of currently issued CCW permits.  The course consists of 2 hours of classroom time to discuss up to date legal aspects of concealed carry, laws, and concealed carry methodologies; 2 hours on the range reinforcing shooting fundamentals and a qualification course.  All shooting drills will be conducted from the holster, from concealment.  Students must qualify with each firearm they are listing on their permit.  Students may qualify with up to 3 firearms during this course; however may qualify with additional firearms upon approval of the instructor (Time permitting).


 This is not a beginner class.  Students should be familiar with their firearms and equipment, have sound fundamentals of drawing from the holster, grip, trigger control and sight alignment/picture. 


Required Equipment:

  • Handgun of good quality in defensive calibers
  • 2 magazines minimum - per firearm (3 recommended)
  • If using a revolver, please bring a minimum of 2 speed loaders (3 recommended)
  • 100 rounds of ammunition of good quality per firearm (NO RELOADS or REMANUFACTURED AMMO)
  • Belt (Stiff belt that can support your equipment)
  • Good quality holster (IWB, AIWB or OWB) that can safely retain your firearm on your waistline during dynamic movements (open top index holsters are preferred).
  • Holster must cover the trigger guard of the firearm as to prevent accidental engagement of the trigger
  • No Clip Draw or similar devices
  • No Behind the back, ankle or cross draw style holsters
  • No Cloth/Nylon Holsters
  • No Blackhawk Serpa or similar style Holsters
  • Magazine / Speed Loaders pouches
  • Ear & eye protection (electronic ear protection recommended)
  • Batteries for electronics
  • Weapons lube & tools
  • Food / Drinks as lunch will not be provided by HFFT
  • Notepad & pen
  • Range Appropriate Clothing
  • Concealed Carry Garment (Untucked button up shirt, Jacket, Sweatshirt, etc)
